Rachael Caron on

Rachael is an ecologist with a new and growing affinity for bacteria. She hails from New England and ventured south to study Biology and Environmental Science & Policy at the College of William and Mary. She has an eclectic background; she developed diagnostic assays in the fields of oncology and viral pathogens and supported the Federal Aviation Administration in advancing their environmental policies. Previously, she worked for nonprofits protecting her native watershed and seagrasses in the Chesapeake Bay. Rachael is an avid angler, cyclist, and sailor and is the proud parent of two betta fish named Gilbert and Finley.
