Nikolai Rylov

Software Engineer

Nikolai graduated with a BS in biochemistry from Binghamton University. He became involved in research early on, gaining extensive experience in proteomics and mass spectrometry while working in a lab studying Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Nikolai realized that his work in the lab was a great opportunity to apply his lifetime passion for computers and technology by creating scripts to automate analyzing large mass spec datasets. After graduating, Nikolai moved to the Bay Area to work as a research associate, giving him an opportunity to continue applying his research and computational skills in industry. Today, Nikolai is a software engineer, supporting the MicroByre team whenever code needs to be written — from automating analysis tasks to monitoring vital pieces of equipment.
