As many scientists know, trying to manually transfer tiny volumes of liquid into the proper well of a multi-well plate is a recipe for mistakes. One of MicroByre’s guiding philosophies is to have automation do the tasks that are hard for our human brains. By doing so, we free our brains to do more interesting work.

One of those pieces of automation is the Formulatrix Mantis. This robot can dispense as little as 0.1 μL into a variety of different plate formats. It is also incredibly mesmerizing to watch. Of course, our computer engineers have made it even more useful by integrating it into our automated workflow to provide the MicroByre secret sauce!
